1. PowerLeague Shepherds Bush
Starting at the bottom of the strip you’ll find Wild & Co Showbar. Just as the name suggests, this place does indeed get wild when the party-goers descend on this infamous street. You won’t have any trouble finding the venue either with its gigantic sign outside. To the front of the venue, you’ll also find a spacious terrace with plenty of tables to get sat down at. Inside, this Albufeira bar resembles more of a nightclub than anything else, with great light & sound systems. Staying open until 4 am most nights of the week, this is a fantastic place to start your Albufeira bar crawl!

2. PowerLeague Shoreditch
The following bar up on the strip is the American-style Albufeira 66. With a gigantic Statue of Liberty to welcome you in at the door, this Albufeira bar is excellent as both an all-day venue and a fantastic place to party into the early hours of the morning too. Inside, you’ll find the place lined with old-school American memorabilia and a retro police car suspended above the bar! Showing live sports throughout the day, this place transforms into a top party destination by night and shouldn’t be missed.

3. Goals Wembley
A bit further out of the city to the northwest is Goals Wembley, situated on the Alperton Playing Fields. Just a short walk from the Alperton tube station, this venue boasts a whopping nine 5-a-side pitches and three 7-a-side pitches to hire. On-site, you’ll find a café/bar, free Wi-Fi, and plenty of live sports on the TV, with both BT and Sky Sports licenses at the venue. So if you’re looking to kick back and relax after an intense game of footy, this is a great place to consider!

4. Warren Sports Pitch (W1)
Right in the middle of the iconic Fitzrovia area, just a short walk from Regents Park, is the Warren sports pitch, the only AstroTurf pitch in the city centre. Nestled amongst an upmarket residential area overlooking the famous BT Tower, this spacious pitch is perfect for a 5-a-side in the city. A spacious and well-maintained pitch at the Pimlico Academy school, here you can hire this 9-a-side turf on evenings, weekends and school holidays, as you might’ve expected. The whole pitch can be hired and split into three 5-a-side pitches if that’s what you’re after! With floodlights allowing you to play all year round, you’ll also have access to the changing facilities here on request.

6. Battersea Park Millennium Arena
Situated right next to the iconic Battersea Power station on the southern bank of the River Thames, Battersea Park hosts two full-sized pitches, perfect for up to seven-a-side on each. With floodlighting covering the surface, you can play here anytime and into the evenings. On-site, you can access the changing facilities and showers too. With a great location and situated only a short walk from the Battersea Park tube station, this is an excellent place for a kickabout in South London.

7. Euston New MUGA (Somers Town)
Situated in the Somers Town area right next to St Pancras and Euston railway stations, there are three well-kept 5-a-side pitches at the Euston New MUGA (STYC) that are perfect for a good few games of footy. There’s also some floodlighting here, meaning that you can play at dusk or in the winter months. On-site, you’ll find changing rooms and access to showers as well.

8. Handyside King’s Cross
A fantastic mixed-use indoor sports facility, Handyside at King’s Cross provides a free-of-charge space where you can have a great game of 5-a-side, no matter what the weather is like outside. 9. London Bridge - Snowsfields
A great 3G pitch on the grounds of Snowsfields Primary School, this private hire pitch is the perfect place for a game of 5-a-side in London, right next to London Bridge train station and the iconic Shard. With a 3G turf surface, this pitch is also great for a one-time game, as they operate as “pay-as-you-play”, so there is no worrying about membership fees.

Another fantastic venue right by the River Thames, PowerLeague Vauxhall, is large and spacious, just a short walk from both Vauxhall railway station and Kennington tube station. This venue has eight outdoor pitches available to hire, all suitable for a 5-a-side kickabout with the lads. Of course, you’ll also find each angle with floodlights so you can play all year round. What’s best is that this pitch, like many other PowerLeague venues, stays open ‘til late on weekdays, so an evening kickabout after work is also a viable option!
